Average, but inexpensive compared to Kings Fish House, that 's for damn sure. The Good, the Bad, the Ugly, and the lies...Had the salmon, swai, and kids fish and chips a number of times. The way they grill, fish always comes out tasty, but a little too rare for me. If you see pink in the middle, it wasn 't cooked enough. You really need to cook fish pretty much well done to kill the worms, and let 's face it, ALL FISH HAVE WORMS AND PARASITES, PERIOD! I 've been fishing my entire life, and know this first hand. In fact, if you catch tuna on a commercial boat, and want the crew to cut it up for sushi right then and there, they make you take a pill before consumption to kill the worms, no joke. And it 's tradition to eat the heart of the first tuna you catch. Google it. Freezing prior to consumption for a week kills almost all parasites and worms, but you need to achieve -4 degrees Fahrenheit for the entire week, and most freezers simply can 't go that low. The kids fish and chips is MOSTLY bread, and I mean mostly. They say it 's full size swai, but it looks more like a goldfish from Chernobyl. Tartar sauce and garlic butter is very tasty, and so is the tomatillo sauce (green). The kaleslaw is a little bland, so I always get an extra tarter sauce, mix it in with a splash of red wine vinegar, and all is well. The chips, a.k.a. french fries, beat out McDonalds by several furlongs, particularly when paired with their tarter sauce. Now for the Ugly...They claim ALL of their fish is on the Best Choice , or Good Alternative list that the Monterey Bay Aquarium provides, a guide that I LIVE by. It 's incredibly accurate. And if you haven 't been to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, you need to put it on your bucket list. Truly, absolutely amazing facility. I was lucky enough to have gone when they had a baby great white shark for a short time in the main tank. Absolutely breathtaking to see that majestic, future monster, vacuum cleaner of the ocean, up close. youtube.com/watch?v=o_I_…The fact is, Swai, Branzino, and their Atlantic Salmon (Chile, Norway, Canada) are ALL on the AVOID list!!! Click on the link...seafoodwatch.org/globala…This is their Responsibly Sourced page...cafishgrill.com/pages/re…I don 't know if they just haven 't updated in a while, or they just never actually checked. Anyway, the healthiest fish on their menu is the farm raised catfish. High in Omega 3 's and other necessary nutrients. Don 't get it fried though, it negates the benefits of eating fish by adding tons of artery clogging, chest grabbing, heart attack inducing fats and cholesterol. Get it grilled. And keep in mind, the FDA says 8-12 ounces of fish per week is about the max, about 2 meals. Catfish is now the only fish I 'm going to be consuming here from now on, grilled. Farm raised catfish is very healthy as down south, the fish farm rules and regulations are incredibly strict. Maybe the wild Rockfish every now and again (Yes, it 's on Monterey Bay Aquariums Best Choice list, as is the farm raised catfish). BTW, Rockfish from the Pacific is called Red Snapper. Never had a problem with their service, generally good.Cheers!
