There's nothing specifically wrong with California Fish Grill, but there's nothing amazing about it either. All of our fishes were slightly overcooked. Still definitely edible, but not the way it should have been prepared. My mahi-mahi was inconsistent. Some bites were pretty good. Others barely tolerable. Service is a mixed bag. The staff ignored a lady who was waiting to order for at least 5 minutes. Our food wasn't actually ready for us when they texted us to pick it up. Prices are reasonable. The patio outside was nice.
Usually I give 5 stars here, in spite of their awful choices for sides to my liking. The salmon and swai are well priced. A few months ago, I found out I could get full sized portions of salmon and swai, but order it under the salad category. That worked until tonight. Tonight I got tiny kid-size portions of both salmon and swai, the fish was cold, and missing tartar sauce and cilantro. Caviar credited back the meal. I dont know if I got less than half size portions because I used a Caviar promo????
Very expensive. $30 for what they called giant shrimp and 2 drinks and 3 side (rice, fries and Brussels sprouts . The shrimp was not giant it's the same size as the skewers the skewers they just fly them and bind them backwards with the shell on them tomake them look a little bit bigger but they're not look at the photo 2nd time in Last time in both times very expensive and veryexpensive and just OK food.
The wait can be a bit much and the food was... okay. I had been waiting for a while for my order to be ready. Come to find out that it was just sitting on the counter for a good 5 minutes. When I got to my desk and started to eat the rice was overcookedand the fries were soggy. Unfortunate really. I would have rated lower but the fish was actually pretty good. Don't think I'dcome back though.

Poorly prepared, fish and chips is now fish and corn. Totally mushy and saturated by the corn. Why would you do that? Manager was argumentative and rude, claiming that 's the way we dot it Next time order better. Rudeness is not the way to keep goodcustomers tartar sauce for the fish, really bad experience. We have been eating there for the last 2 years, never been treatedso badly.
One of my favorite places for fresh fish, seafood, chicken breast (yes that's right) the chicken is grilled perfectly and not dry and overcooked. The sides are amazing! I love the Cajun Shrimp in a taco, salad, plate, or bowl. Swai/Salmon combo plate50-50 Cajun Garlic butter. Do either one how you like and shrimp Louie salad is unlike any you've had.
The food was fantastic! The salmon was perfectly cooked. The fries were delicious, although they might have had a bit too much seasoning. The beans were good, but they could have used a little more flavor.
Came here with my coworkers, 3 of whom hadn't ever been. They loved it. It was a great experience. I usually get the Catfish, I tried the Fish and Chips, it was delicious, and portions were large

Great selection of food, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, though a bit of table shuffle is needed for any party of 5 or more.
Sea Bass was excellent battered fish was outstanding
