Campanile Saint-Dizier Restaurant

I guess it is what it is….an eating place rather than a restaurant. The dinner buffet looks attractive at 16.90€ for mains and dessert, but hardly anything tastes of anything at all, really. Staff are pleasant. It’ll get you through the night til breakfast, but if you can be bothered to walk or drive, maybe you’ll find something a little more encouraging in town. Can't imagine going to eat here unless you are staying at the hotel

July 2019. Always find Campanile good for an short stay on our journey to and from Italy. Update July 2023. Room was freshly decorated but tea making facilities have been removed. As it was a Sunday the restaurant was closed but a Mc Donald's and an Italian restaurant are five mins walk away. We have been using Camponile for a number of years now and the cuts to the standards are becoming more evident.

We ate in the hotel restaurant as we were staying the night. The waitress was very nice but the food was not great, my swordfish very dry and very small portion but the chips were fine. Starters and deserts were buffet style, not a huge choice but nice. The main issue being that they were very slow to replenish. The same could be said at breakfast.

Being tired and a veggie (which often means large bowls of boring pasta), I didn't want too much; here they made my starter into a main for me and it was perfect.

Great well cooked food, good choice on both evening menu also breakfast buffet service also very good
