Camping La Bouysse Sarlat Dordogne

Super nice campsite on the Dordogne! Truly the most friendly owners and staff we have encountered on our travels through France! They do everything they can to make the stay pleasant for everyone. The large mass campsites cannot live up to this. Restaurant very very tasty, not too complicated. We will definitely come back here again! The only point of criticism are the outdated sanitary facilities and the dead end road next to the campsite, where mainly guests of the adjacent campsite can drive very fast. Update 2023; After two years we have again ended up in this beautiful place. This time we found it a little less pleasant stay. The sanitary facilities were very dirty, toilet bowls occasionally saw black flies, and were often very dirty. Both toilet blocks and therefore smelled pretty bad. It was 42 degrees, so most guests also liked to lie in the pool in the evening. Unfortunately, the pool even closed half an hour earlier on one of these days. We have been to campsites where the swimming pools were kept open until 10 p.m. because of the heat. There was also completely arbitrary enforcement of long swimming trunks. I was not welcome with my shorts, but the Frenchman behind me was allowed to walk in his shorts after being approached by the owner. I had the feeling that the owner was a bit through it. In any case, her daughter did her best to make all the guests happy, including by playing fun games with the children.

The best of vacations, We absolutely adore the area, and having been there 8 times, I marvel at how much there is yet to explore. But Camping La Bouysse makes it all even more special. A family campsite that offers all the comfort you need. Everything is perfectly maintained, from the flowers to the facilities to the swimming pool. There are great entertainments for those who wish to participate. The cottage is super charming. It is very comfortable and it has everything you need in the kitchen. It was big enough for the three of us, of course. The location around the cul-de-sac of all the chalets means that you will have a lot of privacy but you will feel part of the campsite. The family works very hard to make sure everything runs smoothly. But there's always time for a little chat and a shared laugh. They always make me feel at home. And they are very patient with me when I try to improve my French skills. They speak perfect English, which helps me a lot when my vocabulary runs out.
