Can Canet - Reservar una mesa

Located on the crossroads, Canet seems to be a small restaurant mainly frequented by the locals. Which might explain why some of the food tasted so strange clearly it’s more of an acquired taste that tourists don’t just get. Even the croquettes were half weird, not sure if they contained kidneys or liver or what... it was an unexpected taste in any case. But fried squid was good, local cold cuts tasty and plentiful and my friend praised the cafe con leche. If you’re not a massive fan of strange seafood I suggest you stay away from a tapas plate called Degustacion almost everything on it was... well, weird, to say the least. But locals seemed to love it. Service was great though and the place itself buzzing and happy, despite the initial gloominess of the rather dark looking interior in such a contrast with bright Sunday lunchtime sunshine outside. A bit surprising that there’s no outdoors seating really...

Gorgeous restaurant, we visited on 5 June 2020. We only popped in for a drink and got some aioli and bread as a little snack. Sat outside and had the smoke from the grill which we loved and wished we were hungry! Would definitely come back. Staff are all very friendly.

What wonderful meals we enjoyed with equally wonderful service from all the beautiful team! We felt like family and are looking forward to returning soon. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent food from felafel to spinach and cheese ravioli and beyond!! All was nice, fresh and tasty!
