Cancun Mexican Grill South Lyon

Tried to go to Mojave Cantina for lunch today but they weren’t serving Margaritas yet do to their pending liquor license. Having our taste buds ready, we went to Cancun. Even though we have never had a good experience with their margaritas, thought one more chance. Immediately I remembered what bothers me with them, they hide behind the counter to make the drinks, along with the bottles. I don’t mind paying top dollar for a top shelf but when they give you different ingredients then what the menu shows, I feel duped! Most Mexican restaurants are pretty similar with the food but the margaritas separates the good from the average, this place is average at best and appears deceptive! Don’t hide...

Veeeerrrry subpar Mexican food. Bland, crunchy in places that weren’t supposed to be crunchy, and I got charged almost $4 for coke. My boyfriend and I waited for 20+ minutes for our server to come back and take our payment, only to find out by asking another worker that we had to pay at the front, something that wasn’t told to us at all. Pork was dry, tamale was flavorless, enchilada had maybe a centimeter of cheese on it, and some of my rice was burnt. Please just go somewhere else for Mexican. Cancún is an excellent Mexican restaurant located in the South Lyon, MI area. My family and I make it a tradition to dine here every year before Thanksgiving, and we are always pleased with the food and service. The only issue I encountered was when I tried to make a reservation through Google, only to be told upon arrival that the restaurant does not actually accept reservations. This inconsistency between online information and the restaurant's policy is frustrating for customers and should be addressed promptly.

An employee hung around our table on his phone almost the entire meal. Drinks were mixed up by the server. The food was amazing and the decor has so many beautiful details. We do plan on going back. Hopefully, it was an off-day. The service at this restaurant is consistently great, always checking to see if you need anything. The food is delicious and served quickly. I highly recommend this restaurant for a great experience. Overall, I give it a 5 for food, service, and atmosphere.

I can't get enough of the pineapple fajitas at this restaurant! The service, food, and atmosphere all receive top ratings from me. I highly recommend trying the pineapple fajitas when you visit for dinner.

The service was top-notch and the food was incredibly tasty. Dining in was a pleasant experience, with excellent service and a great atmosphere. Overall, a perfect 10 out of 10!

I love their take on the rice they serve. It's tasty with the added vegetables cooked in it. The staff is always pleasant to deal with and the owner is a great guy.
