Candlewood Fish & Chips & Burger Bar

My partner was very excited to come across somewhere that served black pudding. I'm not generally a pudding fan, but their white pudding is decent. The prices are good - pudding and chips costs $8.50, and the Sunday and lunchtime special for fish and chips is $6.95, while there's also burgers for around $7.95. (And $1.50 for a can of Irn Bru is the best price I've seen.) I noticed another review mentioning that it was cash only - there's an eftpos machine now. It gets busy around peak times, but the staff are friendly and seem efficient. Whenever I fancy Fish & Chips, this is my favourite place. Everything is cooked fresh and both the fish and chips are light and cripsy.The Cod and Chips Special @ $9.95 comprises 2-3 pieces of cod (depending on size) and a generous helping of chips - usually too many for me. The staff are very pleasant, efficient so even if you don't order in advance you generally don't have to wait long - unless it's Good Friday !!All-in-all, it's one of the best in the Joondalup area.

Have not been here for ages and thought we would try again. Noticed had new owners. Fish was terrible and tasted luke rubber. Chips ok but nothing special. Staff were not friendly and looked like they were ready to close. Terrible experience and wont return Reserva una mesa ahora

Fish is always tasty, good value for money and always supply an excellent portion of chips. Staff are friendly. Occasionally, the oil to cook the chips may need to be changed earlier but this is rare. Very happy having take-out fish & chips here.

Great fish and chips in local area. We've been coming here once a fortnight for about a year now and they have been consistently good every time. Lately wait time is longer but food here is still much better than others in the area.

Live near Candlewood & so found a fish & chip shop that from every visit has had tastey food that I cannot complain. Just at gravy to complete the meal. Must be the quality of fish they buy because its great every time.

Never fails to please and their Sunday night specials are a treat. Best around. For a local fish and chipper in a quiet area it pays to phone ahead.

Great for a chippy. Fresh fish that flakes beautifully every time. Mushy peas could be better but I can live with that for fresh fish
