We asked for a quiet table. They seated is in back, but the restaurant is LOUD. They then put tables together next to us for large party, who were noisy. So we asked to more to a table outside. That took some time, although tables outside were readily available. They finally moved us and never came back! Since it took forever to be acknowledged, let alone order, we could only imagine how long it would take yo get our food (which would probably be cold), so we left. The lively Italian restaurant around the corner was happy to gave us, provided impeccable service and served great food.
We had a reservation but the table wasn’t ready when we arrived. After being seated no one ever came to take our order or offer us water, we sat for over nine minutes while multiple waitresses/waiters passed us by so we walked out went to eat down the street at il Fornaio, which was great!! Then we walked back to Cantina Frida and spoke to the manager about our horrible experience who offered to make it up to us but this is the second time we had an unpleasant experience so I’m not sure we will be going back or recommending this restaurant to anyone.
Cantina Frida is a very special place. Not only they have a fantastic menu that takes Mexican food to a whole different level, but they also have a great ambiance for pleasure or business. I happen to have business lunch or dinner at Cantina frequently. It makes me look really good with my clients. Their service is exceptional. Food and drinks come quickly. Server Yolanda specially is super attentive and friendly. She knows the menu inside out and is able to provide delicious suggestions. A MUST in Bev Hills!
The food was AMAZING, service was absolutely terrible. Had to ask for our waitress 5+ times to come. We waited 20 minutes before we were even GREETED by her. Our dinner was served (not even by her) without any water at the table. We were in a rush to leave at the end and had to hand our card to the waitress ourselves. It’s really a shame because the food is REALLY good, but not worth the stress of wondering if you’ll be attended to or not!

The food is always good and the drinks were just ok. I usually do not like strong drinks but these were quite mild. I think there are many working there yet our dishes sat at the table well after we finished and the worst part is we were served dessert with half the dishes still on the table and the others were only cleared because we requested some to be taken away.
lorraina was our server and she is very pleasant. the chips are fresh and the guacamole and salsa are ridiculously delicious. the margaritas are pretty good. I had the enchiladas suiza. it wasn't too good. the sauce is too tender, but we still had a great evening.
beautiful restaurant. I couldn't wait until the meal was over. eating is good, but very too expensive
Food and service were excellent. Mariachi band was VERY loud in that space.
