Cantina Mexicana El Tayo

A golden nugget of a restaurant that is not in a popular or well known spot. Literally right by a roundabout close to the dual carriageway from Rojales to Guardamar. Excellent food, a tad pricey so not a restaurant I would go to regularly but certainly one for that special occasion. The food was very well presented and tasted wonderful. 125 euros for the 4 of us, some will say not expensive but it is higher than your average restaurant in Spain The restaurant itself is very well presented and captures the ambiance of Mexico. Very busy on a Saturday night for sure, would advise to reserve a table

short drive from rojales, a lot of parking. we were met by very friendly and helpful staff. discovered on main course only as starter saw quite big, will probably share two starters between four next times! fajita’s were fantastic, very tasty and plentiful, chimichanga was delicious. will definitely be back and will tell everyone about this jewel of Mexican cuisine

we love this restaurant and always take visitors to experience it. eating is always excellent, the personal is amazing and the environment is excellent. one of our favorite restaurants in our environment

Fabulous restaurant, first visit for 3 of the ladies. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and cocktails. Fantastic service from all the very friendly attentive staff. We will be back.
