We ate at Cantine du Faubourg this Monday, June 27. My companion loved his chicken suprem and his delicious eggplant caviar. I appreciated that a more proteined supplement (containing feta be added to my request to my custom made vegetarian plate. The house pile was excellent. The best of our whole meal was dessert. A peanut-noise brownie that my companion has always eaten chocolate. As for the rum baba, it was big as a brick, a delicately spicy perfume (cannel? Reminiscent of the gingerbread (miel? , from a spongy texture to the airy mid as never tasted before on a rum baba. What's more, a bottle is provided by the server to complete the imbibage, without the rum taking the gustative top. The taste and texture of this baba still haunt my palate in the hollow moments and it will surely be the case in the years to come. In short, simple dishes (not the most sophisticated in the world, fresh and delicious and a welcoming, friendly and efficient service.
