Now the food wow presentation taste i went for a pre theatre 3 course spring rolls ' chicken satay best iv had with fried rice and salt and chilly chips none of them french fry things proper chips amazing .Then banana fritter with ice cream and syrup with a touch of merange in the ice cream . Been here lot in past.went last night ordered chicken sweet corn soup tasted like water partner had chicken noodle she said hers was tasteless too invisible chicken in soup. Ordered Singapore chow mein never been served a dish like that was more like a bunch of soggy wet noodles that glistened with grease and had 2 small pieces pork and 2 small pieces of chicken on top and couple peppers glad I asked for king prawn in it got 2. Partner ordered chicken fried rice and was pure greasy she said. Ps asked for mine be extra spicy I couldn’t even taste any spice. Had more spice in a pot noodle. Birthday treat,the sweet corn soup was delicious, veggie chow mein was bland and no taste and hot Carmel brownie was stale and very disappointing. We advised staff of lack of flavour of main dish and stale Brownie. The staff member smiled and charged us the extra as indicated on menu Avoid brownie and chow mein. Not value for money
The Canton Restaurant and Takeaway have a fantastic atmosphere the Staff are attentive and are on hand if you require any further assistance the food is tasty and fast I honestly can't recommend the Canton in Johnstone highly enough it's well run clean and has an amazing atmosphere

Been going to this restaurant for years It’s our favourite and the food is still delicious Sadly the ambience and peace has been shattered by the loud music playing in the background Asked if it could be changed but fell on deaf ears unfortunately Probably won’t go back
Got a takeaway for the first time from this restaurant and the chicken curry and beef curry was absolutely delicious we usually use another takeaway in Johnstone for years but decided to give The Canton a try so glad we did will definitely be back
Popped in for some food while passing through. They were doing a small plates menu, and every dish was excellent some of the tastiest food I’ve enjoyed in a while. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
My husband and I went for lunch. It was really salty for both of us. We then both ended up with upset stomachs although we'd eaten different things. Restaurant seemed clean but won't be back I'm afraid.

We visited this Chinese restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Was amazing food and service. Will definitely be back .
It is so cramped and the place is always closed for whatever reason. Useless place I will never recommend
