Can't give any stars for service or atmosphere as it was take out order..GFP ... Godfather's pizza....is...is....for us is better than PH, Domino's, Ceasers.... Papa John's is a decent choice for us also. Thick crust, lots of items added as requested and paid for. For some reason... odd reason.... When reheated... Godfather's pizza is ...is....awful. Just has some strange taste even though it's the same pizza we ate warm the day before. PJ's tasted the same reheated or warm. Had Godfather's pizza at various locations across the country during our travels and reheated....same odd taste.
Thank God for Godfathers! Where else can you get such a great pizza pie. The original crust sausage and pepperoni always hits the spot. I SOOO appreciate this Godfather's. I grew up enjoying Godfather's for special events, after sports events, and so much more. Unfortunately the other Des Moines locations are no longer open. I always loved the Drake Godfather's and the SE 14th Godfathers.
We order half-bake pizzas when we still have a 92 mile trip home from Des Moines and have always been satisfied with the service and the pizzas. This restaurant offers senior citizens a discount on top of whatever special they are offering as well as a 4% discount for customers paying cash instead of using a credit card.
