Capanna Monte - Reserva de mesa

We stayed in the cabin for one night and overall were very disappointed. The entire building was a bad construction with only 2 toilets for 42 beds, the hallway like an underground car park. The view is great, the rooms are nice, the dinner was also good, but we were annoyed about the breakfast: cold coffee (probably tapped from the machine) and apart from butter and jams, nothing else in the way of cold cuts no cheese, no sausage. Compared to all the other huts in Switzerland, it's very meager and completely overpriced. The fact that everything (butter, jam) is in plastic containers and even the juice is served in plastic cups really annoyed me personally... no trace of sustainability!

We stayed at the Capanna Monte Bar in January 2019 and it was an unforgettable experience. The scenery is just breath taking, there are many hiking options and the service provided by Giorgio and Alessandro was just outstanding. All of their food is made in house, whether is your perfect fondue dinner or your morning croissant or cake. The beds are comfortable and the rooms were warm, despite cold temperatures outside. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Switzerland!

Loved the Capanna Monte Bar. The walk on the paved street is really easy, we parked as close as we could to the beginning of the path, so it took about 1.30/2h to walk there. Need to go back for two reason: yummy food and super friendly service, unfortunately the sky wasn't so clear so still need to check out the view. Capanna food highly recommended

A huge hike but worth it!! A beautiful refuge where before entering, you take off your shoes and choose comfortable slippers. It is a designer retreat with an unmissable view. The menu offers typical dishes, I chose tagliatelle with wild boar ragout! It is possible to stay overnight and there is a beautiful fireplace. Reserva una mesa ahora

Brief stop: postcard location, good cakes, welcoming structure. But for me the plastic glass for soda is definitely out of place.
