Cape To Cairo - Reserva de mesa

Unfortunately the food was a massive let down, hardly any flavour or spice and swimming in oil. Staff when available were nice but were in the back the majority of the time, despite only two tables being used. Another I believe delivery staff member had a young child with them while working..which though does happen...they were changing their nappy at a table and not a sign of hands being washed after...better child facilities are needed like a changing table etc. Women's toilets are run down lacking paper towels etc. The saving grace was that it wasn't that expensive but seriously lacked.

Totally unexpected find in Shildon. Very interesting and different menu cooked by one of the owners who is from Sierra Leone and therefore had her own take on all the dishes on the menu. Both the chef and her husband are extremely friendly and made the visit even more memorable. We were fascinated to find that the first passenger railway in the world started outside the restaurant (which was a pub in those days) and passengers bought tickets actually in the room we were eating in. Well worth a visit and we'll be back soon

The food here was delicious, the welcome was great. I loved the ambience and the staff were great. I'd been looking forward to going to Cape to Cairo for a long time and it lived up to my hopes. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, accommodating and the hockey machine kept them entertained between courses. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

Went to comedy night to watch 3x comedian s bring you own drinks but across the road is a sweet shop that has a wide range of beers spirits. Food was excellent and manager's and staff so nice Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This restaurant is incredible! They offer a variety of gluten-free options on the menu. You can find delicious curries and grilled dishes from South Africa, as well as a fantastic lamb tagine. They have rice, plantains, and triple-cooked chips too. It's definitely worth a visit!
