my colleague and I decided to stop here during our lunch break. it's a good pub. the hotel is located at the end of the kent street, so if you decide to sit outside, there is not much noise of the service is excellent and good, we had only two beers, but it was a good place for a lunch break changout there was a small number of office people who enjoy their break when they are at the end of the kent street, I recommend this bar for a break or a break. it is clean and pretty and a good place to relax for the office people if they plan an informal session or pick up with business contacts, this bar would correspond to the occasion...read more

a pub in millers point. easy out of the way when they are in the city, but workers and I wanted to make a pickup and that was the place chosen. in the pub they go first to the bar. it made a roaring trade as it was a Friday night and everyone was wounded and enjoys a bewvie. there are seating outside, but when they eat, choose a table inside, as there are more convenient seating near the high line kitchen. when they decide to dinate in, they have to pay there and get a summer where it goes out when their food is ready we let us down in a few tables near the kitchen and went to order groups. the service is...read more
We had visited Barangaroo Reserve and done the Foreshore Walk, so we needed to get back to Wynyard and didn't want to retrace our steps under the Harbour Bridge. If you take the most direct route the Captain Cook Hotel is hard to miss so...we stopped in for lunch and a beer. They didn't offer many lunch choices but some were remarkably like tappas in Spain. I had Chorizo Croquettes, and my lady chose Ham and Porcini mushroom Croquettes. Both dishes were delicious, but their appearance was almost identical. The beer choices were similarly limted, eg no brown beer. Service was quick and we were basically satisfied.
This is your genuine Aussie pub - I loved it! Sometimes all you want is a steak and chips with some mushroom sauce - this place totally nailed it and the steak was cooked perfectly. Chicken schnitzel, pie and mash and calamari - these basic pub dishes are under $20 and such a good find close to my office. Reserva una mesa ahora
Bright and sterile is not my idea of a good pub. As per the other patrons, had one drink and moved on. Perfect for anyone with OCD, it's so clean... Just avoid the bathrooms they offer a stark difference. A few warm yellow lights would make it a little more inviting... So much potential unrealised.

After paying outrageous prices for groceries,it was pleasure to find the Captin Cook Hotel. A seafood basket and chicken snitzel were a good portion size and delicious. The price was great and staff were friendly. $6.00 for a schooner of Great Northen was great. Well...worth a visit. Reserva una mesa ahora
Had a great time there yesterday afternoon, live music, great band, good family hotel, worth a visit if your there Saturday’s otherwise a friendly hotel for a quiet drink

"My girlfriend really enjoys thirsty bird, but I think it's just average. The fried chicken is pretty typical, but the pickles stand out as unique."
