Captain Trey's Crabs Seafood

I ordered crabs for the 4th of July this year and was somewhat disappointed. Captain Trey's is my go-to place for steamed crabs, and considering their high price, I expect both quality and quantity. While the crabs were large males, they weren't as big as usual, and some were unfortunately lacking in meat and a bit watery—definitely inedible. That can really add up! On the bright side, their seasoning is always fantastic, especially for dipping fresh Maryland corn. I'm hoping this was just a rare occurrence, and that my next order will be back to perfect. The staff was friendly, though; I had someone else pick up my order, and they mistakenly gave a $20 tip. Fingers crossed my next review is...

I was looking for a dinner spot in the fly and didn't realize that there isn't a dining room. I ordered the lump crab cake platter. It seemed fitting that I give crab a try while I'm in Maryland. This place must be a local staple. During the 20 min I waited for my order, there were at least 30 people that came in for pickup orders. Take it for what it's worth coming from a guy from Florida but these were the best crab cakes I've ever had. It's not even a question. There's not even a place I can think of that's in the same discussion. I don't make it to this part of the country often but I will definitely go out of my way to grab something to eat here the next time in around.

I have been going to Captain Treys since they opened. There has been a continuing slide in the quality of the food and service. I have had many disappointing experiences with the food, but since they are local continued to give another try. Ordered 2 jumbo lump crab crab cakes Saturday,8/10/24 There was no jumbo meat in the cakes. In fact I do not think they were even back fin. The taste was terrible and neither cake was consumed. I threw almost $50.00 in trash. I am done with this place and their attitude. Hello Gibby's where you still get decent food and service

I have passed this place many times but never stopped. On a recent visit back home I decided to give it a try. I ordered cream of crab soup and a platter that included fish, shrimp, clam strips, and a crab cake. My sides were a deviled egg with crab meat and applesauce. Everything was excellent. The food was tasty and prepared well, the customer service was excellent, and the food was ready very quickly. I would definitely recommend to this place to anyone who enjoys seafood! My Lady went to get crabs today in order to surprise me, while our children were in school. We were eating came across a number of rotten crabs. They had to look irregular before they even streamed them so, I 'm not sure why the idiot didn 't put them in the trash. God forbid if our children were eating with us and got terribly sick. They don 't know how to determine the odor and look of crabs. She raves about this place all of the time look how she was deceived. Buy at your own risk people.

Outstanding!!!! Where do you find delicious hot Maryland steamed crabs in mid-February? That would be Captain Trey's. They were super friendly and connected me with a special they were having. I got 2 dozen large for a set price, and the crabs were heavy and good point size. They were seasoned well, cooked to order, and ready when I got there to pick them up. I found Captain Trey's through Yelp, and I will definitely be back in the future sooner than later. I highly recommend it!!!

If you like good crabs for carry out and affordable this is your place. This was my first time getting carry out from here and the crabs were amazing. Delicious seasoning and not over seasoned. Steamed shrimp were a nice size and they steamed them fast. When I called to reserve my crabs they were so pleasant on the phone! When we picked them up they were just as nice in person. Little place and worth going!

I had to get crab cakes while in MD. Never disappointed! First time trying this spot. Very friendly staff. Food was made fresh and tasted very clean. It wasn't as seasoned as I like but I'm from Texas and we use a lot of seasoning for flavor. I wished I had some Slap Ya Mamma seasoning. Reserva una mesa ahora

The service and quality at Captain Trey’s Crabs and Seafood are consistently excellent. They offer the best crabs in town, and there are always great specials available. I highly recommend this restaurant!
