Captain Woody's - Reserva de mesa

My mom and I get there at 3:55 pm on Labor Day. He asked to go upstairs but the hostess said it wasn’t open until 4 pm and to wait downstairs. People came in asking about the upstairs minutes afterwards and the waitress told them to go up but the door was locked. Anyway, we all go up after they unlocked it and there was a bar full of people who appeared to be the bartenders friends and had bar stools “reserved” so we couldn’t seat at the bar upstairs. How was there a room full of people if the upstairs had just opened? Anyway the whole experience was awful.

Nice place in the old town area. Food wasn’t exceptional but good. We had a variety of plates on the table; Low Country Boil… way over done rubbery corn in it, and couple of Seafood Fry dinners that were typical fried seafood with fries and slaw. I will point out that the upstairs bar was fun and the servers were exceptional while we waited for our table.

If I could do no stars I would. If you’re looking for a place with overpriced bad food then this is it. Overcooked shrimp, not fresh oysters, and the worst hush puppies I’ve ever had. There were flies in and out of the bottles of sauce on the table and in and out of the straws. Long John silvers is cleaner, cheaper, and better than this place.

We had a wonderful evening there. As tourists from Germany. The service was extremely attentive and my drink was refilled several times. The food is like home cooking. I was very excited. The prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is a bit “shabby”. That's part of the style of the restaurant. There were a lot of locals there at the bar. Reserva una mesa ahora

This place had a great atmosphere. We sat outside and while it was very warm outside it was very pleasant under the fans. They had a huge menu to choose from and everything we got was very good. The portions were HUGE! They also had a very good kids menu which I appreciated as well as crayons and a coloring placemat

Positively the rudest front area hostess I have encountered in a long time (short, dark hair, heavy set; did not get her name). She should be fired. Server (Trevor) was exceptional. Could not have been better. Food is good. Hostess ruined the experience. Will not return as long as she is there.

We stopped by for lunch on our way to Hilton Head Island and enjoyed everything we ordered. It was a casual atmosphere with friendly waitresses. We had chili, fried clam strips, blackened fish and shrimp, and oysters. We would go back if we visit the area again.

Excellent food and very reasonably priced. Grouper is my favorite fish and reuben is my favorite sandwich. Captian Woody decided to smash the two together for a grouper reuben. UNREAL! Reserva una mesa ahora

We loved this place. The happy hour menu items and the oysters were amazing. The shrimp were fresh and the service was great.

Fish and chips were horrible. Appearance and taste as if it were out of the frozen section at the grocery store.
