Captain's Quarters Riverside Grille

Many people adore Captain's Quarters for its stunning views and excellent drinks. I must say, it's an amazing spot for people-watching, especially on weekends. The crowd is a delightful mix of young and old, coming from various backgrounds, which makes it a comfortable place to bring a group. While the food is slightly above average, the appetizers and surprisingly, the pizza, truly shine. The fried banana peppers are oddly addictive, and the veggie pizza is fantastic. I enjoy seafood just as much as the next person, but recently I’ve found myself leaning towards lighter meals and drinks during the warmer months.

I have been visiting Captain's Quarters for years, and I have always enjoyed the exceptional food and service. The atmosphere is unbeatable, as the restaurant is located right on the Ohio River. You can choose to sit outside, which is the perfect spot on a nice day, or enjoy the lovely water view from their beautiful indoor dining area. They also offer a fantastic Sunday brunch that features an omelet bar, a Belgian waffle bar, and a wonderful dessert bar—absolutely delicious!

Make sure you have a reservation. Very long wait if you don't. The atmosphere is fantastic the building and adornments are first rate. I ordered the mahi mahi pacific rim style. It was good nothing special. I didn't care for the spaghetti noodles they used to accompany the dish. The flavors were good but just standard nothing stood out really. We'll be back but outside of the amazing bar nothing was remarkable.

My friends recommended Captain's Quarters for lunch during our visit to Louisville this weekend, and it turned out to be a wonderful choice. The food was outstanding, the location was ideal, and the company couldn't have been better. I absolutely love Captain's Quarters! It's the perfect spot to unwind after a hectic week. They have the best terrace in Louisville! During the summer weekends, I really enjoy going there to listen to the live bands. The food and atmosphere are fantastic!

Love this place, wonderful service, great view, Louisville tradition, decent prices, delicious food, great drinks, multiple seating options for every time of year. Treat yourself to lunch, at minimum, at least annually at Captain's Quarters!

The view, the food the atmosphere is always great when I eat here. I came Saturday and it was a long wait so I left and came back Tuesday after work, great way to end a long day.
