Specialty food store with a deli counter in back, mostly serving sandwiches and salads. I thought this looked like an interesting lunch spot while on the road and was very happy with it! There was a little bit of a line, but the wait for oursandwiches wasn't too bad, and the people were nice. I had an Eggplant Banh Mi, filled with a very delicious combination ofbreaded eggplant, veggies, herbs, and spicy mayo sauce. I would point out the elements of the sandwich that most impressed me,but it would just be a list of the ingredients since it was all so good. My sandwich was about $8.50 which I think was a fairprice it wasn't huge but was a good size for me. They have a freezer of single serve...
I have always enjoyed the food from Caravia but tonight when we placed our order, our request to not have horsey sauce on one of the sandwiches was inadvertently missed. The sandwich was still great and we didn?t give it another thought but an hour or solater, I got a text from the owner offering to make a new one without the sauce and deliver it. After I said it wasn?tnecessary, he said our next sandwich is on the house. It?s not at all uncommon for a special request to be overlooked but forthe owner to reach out with such an offer is unheard of these days. I would have already recommend Caravia for their great foodbut even more so now due to their extraordinary customer service.
Our experience was excellent overall. Although we ordered through Chow and our order wasn’t ready when we arrived, and we didn’t get a second email confirmation, the staff promptly prepared everything while we waited. They offer a fantastic variety of specialties, drinks, and desserts. The venue is small with no indoor seating, only a few outdoor seats, but the staff were incredibly friendly. Even the young girls at the counters and registers were charming and welcoming.
Caravia is our way around five out of seven days a week. We love the food behind the counter, all salads are made fresh every day, everything is very healthy, organic and so delicious. Their homemade soups are also excellent. We have often ordered catering dishes for our larger parties and family meetings. Your homemade Lasagna and Caesar Salat can collect a family as easy as a phone call. Everything is delicious and the customer service is perfect. We recommend!!

Caravia is excellent. Everything I?ve ever had from there be it soup, fresh veggies, salads. sandwiches, have always been delicious. I appreciate good and wholesome foods that aren?t junk, and that?s what you?ll get here. So refreshing to have thisin the Abingtons where we are predominantly controlled by the bigger chain restaurants which sell predominantly junk food. Keepup the good work Caravia folks!
Though the space is compact, it’s stocked with unique, organic, and international items. The deli is outstanding—I tried the North Side Italian sandwich, and the bread was exceptional. I also savored a frozen pistachio mousse (see the freezer photos below). Note that there’s no seating available; it’s solely a takeout deli counter. You can also place orders in advance and pick them up.
Wow!!!! The apple bourbon bread pudding is to die for. Also another wonderful healthy meal I picked up for tonight is the rice and beans , and some broccoli on the side! I'm in heaven and what a meal I have for tonight. Compliments to the chef !!!!!!
Every visit to Caravia Fresh Foods takes me straight back to Brooklyn, NY! This genuine Italian spot offers exceptionally fresh ravioli and pasta, paired with delicious sauces and cheeses. Truly an outstanding experience every time!

Caravia has a friendly, helpful staff. They prepare food quickly and also offer curbside pickup. The best thing about Caravia is their fresh food. It's delicious!!
Cute little place for organic foods, exquisite pasta collection and freshly prepared meals such as sandwiches and soups. Would not disappoint you.
