Recently moved to Long Island and was looking for some good Caribbean food and has yet to find a place.In exploring the neighborhood we saw this place and decided to give it a try, looking at some of the reviews I really don't know what those folks ordered but quite honestly when I walked into the establishment and the smell from whatever they were burning was a turnoff, and we should have kept on walking but we supported anyways? boy was that a huge mistake although the roti skin was fresh and hot it had no taste, the chicken had no seasoning whatsoever and I know Trini people like their seasoning and curry, but most of all they know how to COOK.Some of the reviewers who said the food taste...
My opinion is 7.8/10.Overall 11 not bad for Long Island.Now this a Bake and King fish, I'm used to eating a Bake and Shark. Now the fish was def fresh and seasoned well.But This place is def more of Guyanese kitchen since they didn't know much about making a Bake and Shark from what I can tell lol. Since I had to show them what a traditional Bake and Shark usually looks like and has. I will be coming back to try other dishes. For Long Island, your saving instead of driving to Queens to be able to get pretty good Trini and Guyanese dishes.Things I would come back to try if they got it lol is there Bake and Shark and Bus up Shut and Bara. I was craving Roti the other day and usually I go to Queens for Roti but, just did not want to deal with traffic after leaving work..I found this place on Google and believe me when I tell you the Roti is legit. It was so Fluffy, full of layers, and delicious. Down right perfect. I also had the Curry Beef and my Man got the Curry Goat. No disappointments. What made it even better was the Roti's were made fresh on spot. The Gentleman there was so friendly and provided excellent customer service. The place is clean and they have a lot of different options. I was craving Roti again today and actually ordered some off of Uber Eats. And they are perfect.. I even recommended this restaurant to cow...
I ordered shark and bake and two orders of doubles at this restaurant. I found the service to be very disorganized and the male employees seemed disinterested in their work. However, there was a young lady who stood out. She provided excellent communication, informing us that everything was handmade and would take some time. She went above and beyond by making the bakes from scratch, frying the shark, and preparing the doubles right in front of us. I truly appreciated her dedication. The food was delicious, and she is the sole reason why I would consider returning to this restaurant. If she is not there during my next visit, I would not hesitate to leave.

no frills/no nonsense stop for Trini food. The doubles taste like hitting the culinary jackpot. With baras made fresh and hot, the sweet tamarind sauce complimenting the curry chana's earthy full flavor with a kick. Get the doubles earlier in the day, they WILL sell out. I could eat their callaloo everyday, so simple yet seasoned to perfection. They also have chicken, curry, dal purri, roti, and other flavorful choices depending on the day if you are feeling just getting a hot plate. Everything is very affordable. So give a nice tip! I'm a big advocate of this spot as you can tell, and I think you will be too!

The roti at this restaurant is delicious, but their organization is lacking. They are never prepared for takeout orders and the customer service over the phone is quite poor. They need to improve their efficiency and communication.
The Roti and curry at this restaurant are incredibly tasty, and all of the side dishes are delicious as well. The prices are affordable and the customer service is excellent.
