Hubby's sister wanted to take us to her favorite restaurant. She insisted we meet her here for lunch. Nice surprise. The outside doesn't look like that. It looks like a local pizza joint. The upper floor is the seating area and it was packed! There is a third level that has tables and a full bar. Many groups of different sizes. 2nd birthday party happened when we were there. We were a party of 6 and made reservations before the time so that we sat immediately. The hostess was friendly and helpful. The waiter was friendly, helpful and patient. They and their Nabeby had their favorite foods that were no longer on the menu, but they took us, the Filet of Sole and Flank Steak. Cheese garlic brea...
This is a fantastic family-style restaurant. I tried the Chicken Francese, and the sauce was outstanding while the chicken was incredibly tender. It could have been a bit crispier with the breading, but it was still delicious. The fried burrata was exceptional, featuring a wonderful mix of contrasting flavors. The creamy pesto sauce combined beautifully with the acidity of the tomatoes and the sweetness of the peppers, and the presentation was impressive—it's a shame I didn't take a photo. I definitely recommend dining upstairs, as the downstairs area can get quite busy. Overall, it's a really good Italian restaurant, and their pizzeria is my go-to choice.
This Italian restaurant in Yonkers is the best of Italian gastronomy. It holds a special place in my heart as my favorite Italian restaurant from my childhood. The atmosphere feels like a close-knit family restaurant, still run by the previous generations, Pete and Sheila. The service may have been a bit slow, but it didn't matter to me. The food brought back memories of family and love. Carlos' pizza and all of the dishes we enjoyed were delicious. I even tried a Yonkers IPA, which I will definitely be ordering again. I can't wait to come back and create more memories at this wonderful place. Thank you, Carlos, for the unforgettable experience.
I was in the area and came to dinner. Food was excellent. You have all the Italian classics you desire and dishes can be ordered individually or in a family style. The pictures I made are of individual portions that are generous! Cesar Salat was fresh and well dressed. Chicken Parm was delicious. Cannolis were perfect. The staff was very friendly. Overall a great value. Our table didn't order this, but I saw many other tables to order the NY strip steak that was very large and cut. The steak seems to be a very popular dish and looked delicious.

Here for a birthday party in the upper floor. The staff is great. Very attentive. Cocktail was okay, but I think most people here get half a carafe of wine. Pretty good. I had the Shrimp FRA Diavolo with fetters. Very delicious and brought residues home. There is free bread with butter or oil. They are wheelchair accessible. And if you bring out the birthday cake, the waiter plays Happy Birthday by Stevie Wonder. Friendly place. Good for parties. Old school menu. You have a parking lot.
Unpretentious Italian eatery serving generous portions of classic Italian (and American) cuisine at reasonable prices. The steak here rivals those at most steakhouses I've been to. The only thing I've ever had that did not live up to Carlos's high standards was a tad-too-lemony chicken Francese. Twice! But not worth removing a star.
The atmosphere is refreshing, the service is exquisite, and the food is delicious. There is an abundance of food to choose from and every item is fantastic. My favorite dishes are the Pork Chops with Hot/Sweet Peppers and the prime Steaks. The pizzas are exceptional as well. Overall, the experience was outstanding and excellent.
Went again last week! The gnocchi bolognese was amazing. Carlo's never disappoints. The food is delicious and the desserts even better! We tried a new dessert....it was really good. Our waitress was great as well.

The food was amazing, the service was quick, and the staff was friendly. Our waiter, Max, was especially welcoming and efficient. The cheese ravioli was incredibly delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant.
We had a fantastic dining experience with authentic Italian cuisine in New York. We went during the week, and everyone loved their meal. They also offer gluten-free options!
