While the quality of food selection was good, our waiter had a smart aleck attitude from the word. Enjoyed at a slow night, but the staff did not even notice that we had an OpenTable reservation. Listing image also misleading, as the sea is a parking lot and 4 lane road away. Probably good for the patrons of the hotel, but would not disturb if it is a night from home.
Asked for room to be clean and new towels, instead room attendant left a dirty rag and 2 towels when we had a total of 4 people in the room. Tv and internet didn’t work so forget it about getting these to work. Only benefit to this place is the proximity to Legoland as this was the reason for this trip. I don’t think we will ever stay in this hotel nor Hilton per say.
We were in town for the Carlsbad Marathon and didn't feel like fighting crowds at the local restaurants. For what we would have considered a limited service hotel, the restaurant offered a full service atmosphere, menu and great food. It is right off the lobby so the ambience is not a wow but it was a very nice meal and a quick elevator ride home.
Nice restaurant, casual atmosphere, both indoor outdoor dining. Here for lunch, nice menu choices. Food well prepared, fresh ingredients, tasty, nice portion size. Server attentive, knew menu well, personable. Close to the ocean, but not ocean view. If you are looking for a casual, quiet atmosphere and good food, this restaurant worth the trip. I wont say much. Couple of things i ordered a veggie pasta, whch came out in decent time. But was shocked to see the pasta to be rather soupy : . Thankfully there was soup spoon provided. i asked for wine list, and as if they did not have any wine on the menu, i never got my hand on the menu..
We visited Easter brunch and were very underwhelmed by the selection and quality of food. Too expensive, based on the ambience and food. Service was pleasant and attentive.
Melt-in-your-mouth Rib Eye Steak and fresh Carlsbad strawberries in salad! Unexpected delicious food for a non-describing small restaurant in a hotel lobby. We'll be back.
