We went for dinner tonight to celebrate our anniversary and figured it would be a great night because we came a month ago and all was good. Tonight was a disaster. So many things were terrible it's hard to recap. We weren't given menus, I had to go up to the hostess and get them after waiting for minutes for someone to notice us. My oyster platter came out without horse radish, vinegar, and cocktail sauce so I had to get up again and ask for them. When the bus boy came to collect our dirty plates he took our silverware so I had to get up again to get new forks and knives. Our waitress was MIA the entire night. She never came to check on our drinks. We finished them and never had another roun...
The location for a summer night is great right on the water. The food is good. Waitress was friendly and a bit flustered with her perpetual need to excuse the slow arrival of food. Appetizers came in min. Dinner came at about hours, and we wolfed it down in min. Not sure why management would book more diners on line or via phone if can't handle the diners that they have. Could have and should have been better. Summary meh!
I have always enjoyed this place and I still love the beautiful beach setting. However, this summer, the menu has been reduced to far few choices. Still enjoyed the crab cake and some of the salads. However, the more substantial dishes and sides have been eliminated. I was sorry to see.
a reservation for a party for Saturday night, but when we arrived in restaurant it was closed, I knew that this was a seasonal facility, but the information on the website was very inaccurate

carlyle’s seafood shack is a beautiful place. the personal is friendly, the intention is beautiful and very quiet, and the eating and service is always good.
that was a decision that last minute went out, and I'm so glad we did. a quiet night to share something wein and enjoy the crabcake! and the lobster roll!
fun beach place. right on beach super casual, fun gets very buggy after sun goes down
