We had been struggling to find a nice restaurant with good gluten-free options, so we decided to stop by Buckingham after seeing good reviews on Tripadvisor. We were really impressed by the small but charming restaurant and the friendly staff. There were plenty of gluten-free options for starters, mains, and desserts, with some unique choices. We enjoyed our meal, the atmosphere was great, and the prices were reasonable. I had never been to Buckingham before and was looking for some lunch when I came across Carnitas. I was really impressed with the food - I had the Chimichanga and it was amazing, while my partner had the Huevos Rancheros and loved it. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The menu was extensive, so I can see how it might get busy at times and affect wait times, but that wasn't a problem for us. The food wasn't particularly spicy, but they had authentic hot sauce available for those who like it that way. Overall, we had a great lunch and I would definitely recommend Carnitas. Thank you.
The food at this restaurant is delicious and perfectly cooked. I ordered a chicken dish with rice, and the chicken had crispy skin and juicy meat with a tasty chilli mango marinade. My husband's steak was also cooked perfectly and he loved it. Both dishes were full of flavor. The service was good with friendly staff. This restaurant feels like a hidden gem outside of Buckingham, but we have always enjoyed great meals here. The Jamaican curry and breakfast options are also excellent. I would recommend trying this place for something different!
I have never felt the need to review a restaurant until today. It took 45 minutes to be served and when the food did arrive it was underwhelming to say the least. Okay food but for the price it was very disappointing. I would NOT recommend this place at all. For £80 we were essentially served freezer standard food with no real taste or finesse. To top it off we were asked twice (and pretty rudely) verbally if we were going to tip, very strange place

So disappointed, lovely staff but food was not worth the money. The two tapas we had for starters were ok but the mains were tiny for £14. One chimichanga 4 inches long. Our Xin Xim had two prawns and the chicken was not fresh, more like chicken you would get in a microwave meal. Not at all what I was expecting and our meals looked nothing like the photos on the reviews. AVOID!
Just off the high street in Buckingham is this small hidden gem. Dining is relaxed bistro style. The Latin American food tastes fabulous. Really great tapas and mains. Service was a little slow but not problematically so and the food was worth waiting for.
We had a lovely evening at Carnitas great service and the food was delicious. We have been here a few times and always enjoy everything we order all freshly cooked. Thanks again!

Superb lunch although took about 40 mins to arrive. Very friendly staff. Impressive mock tails and cocktails.
Excellent food and service. The tapas were perfectly cooked and the portions reasonable. Highly recommended
