I brought a group of 18 to lunch at Carrie Nation yesterday. It was a great meal/event! We sat at the high top 'chef 's table ', and it was great to all be gathered around one nice table. Everyone was very happy with their food and drinks. But what I must commend the most was the fantastic service. Elaine was our server...maybe some others were helping, but she had our large group served impeccably. I did not hear one complaint from anyone in the group, and all were very happy with the entire experience. Doing great, Carrie Nation!!!!!
The bar and lounge were loud and packed. It was so loud that I had to yell across the table in the half empty, and strangely laid out, dinning room. The food was mediocre, nothing to write home about. And other than the seafood sampler I felt it was a little over priced. The old fashioned was served with bucket ice rather than a large single cube. It seems nitpicky but if you are going to the trouble of serving it under a cloche with smoke, maybe don 't drown it with ice? The cocktails were very reasonably priced.
It was dark and we had to use our cell phones to read the menu. I did not receive French fries that were included in the meal. The beef ragu was noodles and meat sauce. The haddock was good. Salads were brought out at the same time as the meal. Service was adequate. We had to keep calling her over for empty glasses and condiments. My boyfriend and I were disappointed because the website looked so good. Won’t be back.
We have dined at Carrie Nation multiple times. The excellent service and accommodating staff is consistent. We Had another great dinner last night. The chef made a special request for my 11 yr old daughter and they didn't charge for her meal. Highly recommend it.

Went to drag brunch on Pride weekend and had a blast! Our server was very attentive and the performers literally made me cry when they invited the older folks and assisted a man on crutches to participate. It was so sweet and enjoyable! Also, a lovely space.
Service was confusing, waited 30 min after seated and had to call someone to order . People are nice and friendly but confusing. Food just average.
I spent New Years evening here. The food was amazing and all the staff were outstanding. So friendly helpful. Definitely worth a visit...
