Cartgate Lodge Cafe

I never thought of eating in the cartgate service. I often stopped a toilet break from cornwall to hampshire. had to travel to christmas and make the trip on Christmas Eve morning from cornwall. left early expected heavy traffic, but roads were dead. it stopped killing some time at the last. both ordered the English breakfast and tee. did not expect it to be so beautiful in the restaurant. very clean, with friendly staff. the breakfast was brilliant value for money. did not expect metzger to tasted sausages, speck. nice roasted brot and eggs. not quite fat. I'll go back there. pleasantly surprised how good it was.

This restaurant is easy to locate, just off the A303 at the what3words location tonic.tram.lamplight. It's a great spot to stop and take a break during a long journey along the A303 to Cornwall. While they mainly serve meat breakfast options, they also offer vegetarian and vegan choices, making it vegan-friendly. The food is delicious and reasonably priced.

large customer service and competitive prices. internal and external seats are available whatever they prefer. not much to choose on the menu, but the cheese and the speckburger I bought for £7.50 was really good. the man in the kitchen was really professional. would highly recommend.

Great place for breaking drive up from Cornwall. Hot food good and really reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Busy place but still had good service, and we weren't kept waiting for more than 15 mins before food was ready. Great for being able to exercise dogs before resuming journey. Reserva una mesa ahora

Nice place, good breakfast menu, excellent selection of cakes, pasties and sandwiches. The ladies serving were very welcoming and pleasant. Sausage sandwiches were good, and nice and hot, girl cooking the food was equally as hot Busy place, loads of seating inside and outside.

easier place to find, right on the a303 at what3words tonic.tram.lamplight it is worth breaking a long trip along the a303 to cornwall. mostly meat breakfast, but important are they vegan friendly and do both vegetarian and vegan options. delicious food and good value.

very impressed by this stop, as never before have been here the caffe was a beautiful surprise with its many spits and snacks and the sculptures in the inner. a really welcoming place with friendly and helpful staff. can return and will certainly visit again x

Always our stop of choice when travelling to/from Devon. Lovely picnic area, welcoming restaurant and friendly staff. Food is great value for money, nothing fancy it doesn't need to be! Clean toilets, generally not overly busy. Recommend. Reserva una mesa ahora

beautiful place to stop for a toilet break and some fine dug and inexpensive much more beautiful than the fast food outlets. it's a nice antid to go their dog, the toilets are also really clean that is always a bonus.
