This place suprised me. I came here a few times when I first arrived in the area 15 years ago. The food was standard, but the people were unfriendly for the most part. So I just found other places to go.We are so happy we tried this place again, this was our second visit. On the first I didn't bother with photos of the food, that was a mistake. On that visit my wife had a bacon burger and I had a chicken avocado chiabata. The quality was first rate, the meat cooked to perfection, the bread fresh and tasty. Just an all round good meal. Better food than would get at the bar we were going to for about 50% less. Throw in $4.50 NC craft beers on Wednesday and guess what we do on hump days?We went...
I am simply flabbergasted by the remarkable service and immaculate staffing of this fine establishment. I have never in my life experienced this whole hearted welcoming service from staff especially my waitress Marisa she was simply delightful and checkedin on a frequent basis. Not to mention the remarkable manager marquis, what an outstanding guy, a man who can train staff likeno other man. What a great environment to be a part of. P.S. These cheese fries are an quite delectable, so cheesy, baconey,and fresh. 15/10 would recommend and will be coming back on a frequent basis, maybe even as much as Marisa visited my table tomake sure we were taken care of.
Maybe today just wasn't a good day. Some menu items were not available. My party was seated in the patio area which was partially enclosed (or partially open? . It was already cold outside. The only positive on this visit was our waiter Micah whowas great and apologetic although he had no control over what wasn't available. Will I go back? Probably. I usually have betterexperiences at Carolina Ale House so I'll give them another try in the future.
We wanted something easy and the option to sit outside after the storms. The Ale House did the trick. We were warmly greeted, seated outside even though we were the only ones there. Micah our server was friendly and warm. Pleasant surprise was the Gardien buffalo chicken sandwich option. If you’re looking for sandwich and wing options with great service, this is the place.

Great ambience, service, food and drinks. I loved this location as much as I used to love the Richmond location. We enjoyed their beer battered cheese curds and boneless zingers (fried) over a White Sangria and a Wild Turkey with soda. Recommendvisiting!

I always try to give positive reviews but this time I cannot. Lovely people but the food, not so much. The fish and chips were so greasy. Slaw didn't have any flavor.
The quesadillas and salads were delicious. My server Andrea was very attentive, tended to my needs before I even asked, was very pleasant. She did an amazing job.
