Casa Alvarez - Reserva de mesa

This restaurant used to have high-quality food, but now it tastes very salty and the rice lacks flavor. The prices are too high for the poor quality of food. I used to be a regular customer for years, but I will not be returning. When I asked for a refund due to the decline in food quality, they refused. It seems like there may be new management or a new cook in charge. Unfortunately, this place is no longer worth a visit.

When I came home last night I stopped to pick up dinner there.. I would have given 5 stars but the steak picado was 50% gristle.. The chili relleno and enchilada dinner that my husband got was delicious he said.I did call them and brought to their attention the high of gristle. Suggested they tell the chef or the owner to do something with meat for this dish, like don't cheap out on the meat they buy...just saying..

UPDATE 11.4.23 Came again this past weekend. I was impressed with the taste of the food. It reminded me of Las Casuelas in Palm Springs. Really tasty food. Definitely coming back. Great food! They serve substantially large portions. The staff is friendly and attentive. It's a clean environment and restaurant... Cleanliness is a big deal for me. Check it out. I'm coming back.

The food at this restaurant is consistently great. My go-to dish is the Menudo, which is always hot, fresh, and delicious. And when they make changes, it's always for the better. I appreciate that they only use Honeycomb tripe meat, and I must say it's consistently fresh. Reserva una mesa ahora

This was my first time at this restaurant. I tried the chilaquiles with pork and green chile and I must say it was very good. The salsa and chips they serve at the beginning were also delicious. The service was great and the prices were reasonable.
