We had arranged with Mari a prewedding (preboda) on a Friday night. Prior communication was excellent. Mari had made some food and wine suggestion, which were immediately accepted from us. We had invited around 60 people for which we had booked the whole interior of the restaurant. Several tapas dishes were served (pimientos de padron, pulpo a la gallega, tortilla de patatas, mejillones, calamares amongst others), in terms of drinks any Galician wine beer was included. The attention of the stuff was perfect. The invitees were very happy and talk highly of that event. Desert was very tasty. Mari and her team made a perfect event at Casa Aurora possible. Muchissimas gracias! Prior to that event, we had been eating there alone (mussels, tortilla) food was great. What still strikes me, they have an exquisite wine card with bottles from all over Europe (which is very unusual for Spain).
Located in the lively part of the harbour, but far enough from the loud bars, it is a chic casual restaurant serving excellent wines. I had the monkfish and gambas pasta, rich in saffron and fish flavours, a delight. Come early as the place gets very busy around 10 pm.
