I have been going to this restaurant properly for over 30 years, including in its former format. It was good back then, but it’s been even better ever since they created the new restaurant 10 or so years ago. We always find time to visit at least once when we’re in the Algarve and we are never disappointed. In this particular instance, it’s not just about the food, but also about the owners and their staff are always great, warm and greet you, as if you’re a long lost friend (I know I may not of been there for many months! warm welcome, but then the service slowed down considerably. After it finally managed to place an order, the starter came after minutes, but the main course came about minutes later. then a few minutes until the table is cleaned. wait a few minutes until the desert menu comes, then a few minutes for someone to take the whisper to just tell some ice cream flavors. when I mentioned that they had forgotten us, the owner apologized and gave us free harbour that was beautiful. the food was above average. the ambiente was good. I don't mind eating here again.
We had a very enjoyable meal here. The setting is pleasant, with a courtyard feel, albeit you hear the traffic from the nearby road (so in this respect not as good as e.g. Botánico or Parilla Natural). Ordered tuna tartare and fish soup for starters both excellent, especially the tuna tartare. Then chateaubriand and tenderloin for mains both very decent without being spectacular. Service was professional and attentive. Overall a good experience and would gladly eat here again.
First time eating at this restaurant. Choice of food was excellent, something for everyone. It’s a really nice restaurant, stylishly decorated and the outside space is welcoming. Despite nearing the end of September it was still warm enough to sit outside but you could choose to eat inside. Everything was perfect from the greeting, service and food quality. We have been visiting for many years and this restaurant never fails to impress. The very warm welcome, amazing cocktails and then the food. Prawns in brandy sauce to start was just delicious, rack of lamb served perfectly pink, and an excellent wine choice too. Until next year, thank you to Jose, Hugo and Luis and all of the team for making us feel so special yet again.
This is a beautiful restaurant with stunning outside seating and is matched by the food. The service is fantastic and the staff couldn’t be any nicer. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal there and will always come back. If you like a party and live music then visit Wednesday for an amazing evening.
We were a large party of 10 celebrating a birthday. From the moment we arrived to the minute we left we felt very well looked after by everyone. The food and wine was superb and the atmosphere on the outdoor terrace was perfect. I know we will look forward to coming back again.
