Casa de Corea Restaurante

I just moved to this neighborhood and was glad to find this place. We were at lunch the weekend. They opened so that the place was empty except us. I ordered Tonkatsu, a Japanese bread dish. My Gf had a meat dish, can't remember what exactly. For appetizers I had a salad and something else. The appetizers we ordered were good and they also delivered some free dishes before our main course that I felt were leftovers from the day before and not in any case good. Tonkatsu is tricky to cook because it is fried and if not properly cooked is greasy instead of crunchy. They cook it right, but what spoiled the dish was the quality of pork. The meat dish of my Gf was not always very good because of the quality of the meat. The waitress was very friendly, but as soon as the main dishes came out, they took a very long time to deliver some things we demanded and the dishes were cold. Finally, I had to get up and ask for these articles. I hate to think what happens when this place is busy. One thing that bothered me was a door between the garden and what seems to be their storage or kitchen. The door is wooden and at the lower end of the door is a big hole as if something chew it was. I would hate to think that crumbs are coming to the restaurant by this hole and quite honestly, it has shaken me out. Although this place is a block from my house, I don't think I'm back.

After having lived in Asia for 8 years I can be a bit skeptical about what is on offer in South America, but this place really blew me away with its super authentic and wonderful Korean dishes at a very reasonable price. As in Korea, all dishes are served with a pickled veggie platter to start. We chose the Bulgogi, pork belly, and tripe soup. All tasted just like we were dining in Seoul and were absolutely wonderful. With a bottle of Soju, a jug of tea, service and tax the total bill came out to under 50 bucks. We left happy and stuffed. There were no tables that were non Asian inside, one of Koreans, two of Chinese, one Japanese, and one gringo rolla mix. It was delish and all guests seemed happy. Restaurant is on the bottom floor of a nice home in a quiet neighborhood, on Carrera 14b and 106 just off the diagonal.

I was thrilled to try this restaurant because it was very recommended. A Uber, at least sober atmosphere on the first floor, not welcomed with friendly welcome, but the staff seemed a bit skeptical to my group of three. After leaving the guest the next table had not been washed off, we had to fly our waitress on everything from menus to utensils to the bill. The food was really good, upstairs there are private rooms and would be a good reunification atmosphere. I hope I caught them in one night as I want to enjoy the food again, but I hope they take the reviews seriously and improve kindness and service. visited at 8:30 am on Saturday

The dishes we ordered were really good and authentic Korean. And in addition, we have five different secondary dishes that were free and the prices on the menu were reasonable.
