As many others have mentioned, this restaurant is a charming little spot that has likely remained unchanged since it first opened in 1983. Although some may find this outdated, it adds to the restaurant's character. Our table was served by multiple waitresses, which created a nice team atmosphere. However, there was a 4% credit card fee and an additional charge for blue cheese dressing. The food was average - we started with mozzarella sticks, which were not homemade but of a better quality than most. The chicken parmigiana was made up of two generous pieces of chicken, although I wish there was more cheese. The penne vodka side dish was tasty, and my husband enjoyed his tortellini Alfredo....
I recently dined at this restaurant with a party of about 20 people. I enjoyed the ambiance of the place, but unfortunately, one of the servers taking orders was not very friendly and seemed a bit abrupt. The food was below average, particularly the veal parmigiana I ordered for my main course. The breading tasted stale and the dish was drowned in an excessive amount of marinara sauce. When the dessert trays arrived with pastries and cookies, I tried a cannoli that tasted rotten. I was worried about getting food poisoning, but thankfully, I just felt queasy for a while. Food is good. Service is great very friendly atmosphere but you can't depend on this place to be open. When his dad was alive it was open 6 days a week. Now it only open Thursday thru Sunday and they close on Sundays at least twice a month supposedly because of a shortage of help. Who would want to work at a place that's only open 4 hours a night 3 or 4 days a week. How can anyone live on that?
Delicious! This place has the best Italian food I would say in Morris County and this was my first time here. Friendly staff and service. I ordered take out but the atmosphere inside seemed nice. Wow, this restaurant has gone downhill fast. Ever since Matt took over, the service and food quality have declined. I ordered the stuffed flounder and it was filled with potatoes. My family and I have been going there since they opened, but I hope they can return to their former glory days.
I have dined at this restaurant numerous times and each visit is consistently as delicious as the last. The service is also excellent. It is one of my favorite places to eat and I highly recommend it!
Grew up coming to this old school Italian place. Very hearty and homey. I love love love the bar pretzels. Great family spot, check it out!!
