We are back! A decade since our last visit to this special, intimate, romantic and delicious hideaway 8 minutes from Puerto Romano, Nobu Hotel and Marbella Club, all our hotels. We were in Marbella 4 nights and had 2 dinners at Fernando’s. Twin sons Julio and Fernando were welcoming and always happy to know we return to this special place. Our first night we had many of our favorites such as sardines in oil, anchovies in oil, red peppers and fried calamari. Fish was beautifully prepared. Second included some steak which wasn’t honestly the best but it was Fernando’s, who cared. We love it there. Usually we sit outside on the covered terrace but the second visit it was still a bit chilly so fun to enjoy the interior of this charming edifice. Sometimes you just can’t capture why you love a place, the sum of all its parts. That’s why we love Fernando’s. My husband has been going there for 30: years so we would encourage you to discover this typical Spanish establishment. Lucky you. It’s easy to find and park right on street in a bit of a residential area so don’t think you’re wrong on the GPS. enjoy.

Terrible service, considering that there was 10 of us you would have thought that they would be delighted to see us! Not at all, we had to ask 3 times for someone to take our order. The staff at best were doing us a favour. My steak was inedible, full of fat and as tough as shoe leather and this was recommended, most of our party had Sea Bass which was ok but with measly portions, the accompanying veg was embarrassing, a scant few warm boiled potatoes and mixed veg. I complained to the waiter about my steak, he shrugged his shoulders and that was the last I heard. All in all a very poor experience with very expensive prices Avoid at all costs plenty of other places to dine with good food and staff

We live in the area are looking for a restaurant where we can hold an upcoming family celebration so decided to try out Casa Fernando . Unfortunately whilst the food was quite good, the lack of being made welcome, smiles, general attention service you’d expect, especially given the prices charged, we won’t go to this restaurant again certainly won’t recommend. As a previous reviewer commented, we were made to feel that we were inconveniencing them. The staff should take some advice on giving fab customer service from the chap in the high vis jacket sat by the entrance gate we gave him the tip!

An absolutely stunning setting for dinner and although your first thought might be this is going to be expensive it really isn 't. The service throughout our meal was excellent as was the food. The chef even went to the trouble of preparing arroz for us (usually only available at lunchtime) and it was excellent. The seafood potato salad as a starter was top class creamy and loaded with seafood. My son had the salt baked sea bream and he was very pleased with his choice. Totally recommend this restaurant
