Casa Tapas - Reserva de mesa

After reading some of the reviews on here we thought we would try it out. How disappointed we were. We entered the restaurant and was shown to our table by a surly waitress, we sat down and after about 5 minutes we were asked would we like a drink, that was fine. Another 25 minutes elapsed and a man came to take our order, we told him we hadn’t had the menu yet, he proceeded to tell us the piece of paper on the table was the menu what we thought was relating to COVID) and we had to scan the QR code. I visited this restaurant with a friend in late December. This was my second visit and I was happy to find that the quality was consistent. While some of the dishes were a bit ordinary (a few were breaded), they were still well-prepared and seemed homemade rather than store-bought. We ordered the prawns and they were so delicious that we ended up ordering them again. Overall, everything was flavorful, the service was friendly but not overbearing, even though we were the only customers there.

This restaurant is overpriced and serves low quality food in tiny portions. The manager is extremely rude and seems to be unaware that his empty restaurant is failing. When I expressed my dissatisfaction about leaving hungry, he threatened me by saying he had my number. This behavior is completely unacceptable, especially for a group of young women. I will never return to this place and I wouldn't even recommend it to my dog. Avoid at all costs!

Rated 4/5 largely due to the food. On atmosphere alone (Friday at 7pm) it would be a 2/5. Food was delicious. Tapas is expensive for what you get but it didn’t disappoint on flavour. We enjoyed our meal. Atmosphere A very very dark room, all waiters/waitresses stood at the bar watching on. Music too low. Just something not right with the atmosphere. Before the Covid lockdowns we dined here quite often because the food was excellent, of generous proportions and reasonably priced. All that plus an attentive and friendly owner and his staff. Well, we are pleased to be able to say that now Cas Tapas has reopened everything is as good as it was before! We went for a meal there last Saturday and were delighted with it all. If you like Spanish Tapas, this is the place for you!

The restaurant had a dark and dreary atmosphere with no ambiance. Although tapas is supposed to be small portions, these were incredibly tiny. I left feeling unsatisfied and felt like I was overcharged. I had to order extra bread to feel full. The manager was unresponsive and confrontational when I tried to address my concerns.

We recently had takeout. The menu choices were very good, there’s something for everyone. We enjoyed all the dishes, they were well cooked and flavoursome. All in all very good, only criticism was the price. £92 we felt was expensive!

Spanish night at home and the food was lovely, plenty to choose from and all the food tasted really nice and was piping hot. There portions are quite big, we all ate our fill tonight.

First time back at Cass Tapas since Covid. Really well spaced out tables felt very safe. Staff in masks. The food was excellent as ever. Really good to be back.
