"Our table was booked for 7pm and we was seated promptly. Our dinning experience started very well and the food was delicious. We was all very happy with the food although the service wasn’t great. The waiters ignored us on several occasions and when it came to dessert we waited an hour from placing our order for it to arrive. This was our last night in Moraira and found ourselves having to cancel our later arrangements. All in all food was delicious, service poor. We will not be returning."

On our recent visit to Javea we decided to dine at CASA Toni in Moraira. We have had many meals there over the last 25 years and have always been pleased with both the food and service. There is a multiple choice set menu of 3 courses for €32.50 with a number of small complimentary dishes accompanying this. On the face of it this seems reasonable value. The food was average and lacking any seasoning or flavour. Amusingly we were warned on a number of occasions to be careful of the hot plates but there weren’t and the food was at best warm. We have been going to casa Toni for seven years tonight we were put in the corridor just as you walk in our outlook was not the fabulous inside restaurant but looking at fridges and ice buckets in the corridor,we took friends who had never been saying it was five star to say it was a let down was a understatement,I expressed my disappointment to Toni only to be told sorry .the booking was made two weeks previous ,the food was lovely but to pay 300 Euros for a canteen experience is not acceptable,we will not be returning and will not recommend to friends if you are giving a fabulous experience then make sure everyone gets it .make your overflow/corridor special we all need to feel treated nic...
This is the go to restaurant for not only fine food but the surroundings are superb . We had this time the set menu de Dias which is served which the same high standard of any other from the al a carte menu. We had a main course for us four of the steak lamb fish and pork dishes all of which were excellent. The meal was enhanced with a soup course and a palate cleansing sorbet. The evening was enjoyed at a pace that clearly stated no rush enjoy your meal. We certainly did and whilst we have known the host for many years his restaurant never disappoints. We had a birthday dinner in May this year and have booked for May next year confident of a great evening.
The food was good but the service was poor with no attempt to engage. Especially the old guy (Toni? he really wasn’t interested. Watched him serve up a sea bass in salt and he never said a word to the people at the table. Our own food took a long time to come and we had to ask for the wine we ordered to be brought to the table as we sat there for ages with just water. Very unusual for us not to leave a tip but it really wasn’t deserved. We spent €130 for 2 of us including wine and one dessert.
