we were looking for a place with a simple charm to celebrate a birthday, and the suggestion to book the cascarot was followed with enthusiasm by the whole family. for me it was a seductive discovery, with the warm welcome of our guests, as irresistible as their Anglo-Saxon accent. From aperitif to dessert, we have enjoyed a card with reassuring formulas: the dishes offered are prepared with know-how, without pretense but with delicacy. 10 of us ate at le Cascarot on a Sunday evening. We had the place to ourselves and arrived to a beautifully laid table under some trees and overlooking the river. Had a quick swim before the starters arrived. Food was super tasty and beautifully presented, wine was lovely. Above all Elizabeth’s warmth and humour made it feel like we were eating at a friend’s house, though at the same time it was a special treat to be eating out on an otherwise very cheap holiday… can’t wait to go again next year with and even bigger group and hopefully make this a special tradition. My brother Peter and I spent a few days staying at Cascarot while we explored the beautiful medieval towns of Beaune, Dijon and Nuit St George. Not only is Cascarot's owner Elizabeth a gracious and welcoming hostess, she is also an accomplished cook who prepared some fantastic dinners for us to come home to. If you are wanting to explore this beautiful part of Burgundy and want to stay at a welcoming hotel, then Cascarot should definitely be on your agenda.

so we were here -- for the 3rd time over at night, and for the 4th time to dinner .elisabeth is still culinary creatiw, but in any case also combination and taste safe. We had luck and were able to enjoy our multi-course menue (including jakobsmuschel, gamba ...) on the terrace on the oat of the saonne. we'll come a 5th time and more... Reserva una mesa ahora

Elizabeth's food and hospitality is first rate. She makes you feel welcome the moment you step in. Her food is totally homemade and features local ingredients that are expertly prepared. The result is absolutely delicious. The terrace at the back is also a lovely spot to have a drink, watch the river and pass the time.

This place is a true marvel and probably one of my favourite places on this planet - and I have seen a lot!!The owner prepared my wife's birthday lunch and made our day! As we are vegetarians, we find it really hard to find good food in France other than " Omelette

We have been here before and enjoyed Elizabeth's great hospitality and fine food. This evening was special as we were able to eat outside at a long table and enjoy a leisurely meal in the beautiful surroundings on the edge of the Saone river.

Although very friendly patronage, the proposed meal was poor, nothing to eat in the plate accommodated by insects.
