Criticism: The hall was full and the noise level was unbearably high The selection was not enough for 60chf Often it was only refilled upon request The cheese board was full of crumbs and the selection was modest (truffle cheese was already gone by 11am) The pancakes were dry and hard The quality of the food was okay The service forgot several orders We had specifically reserved for a birthday brunch (no greetings from the kitchen) Parking is NOT included There wasn't much of a view Good: Very warm staff Gluten free bread was baked Drinks were included Great location
I was able to hold a wedding in the castle (knight's hall last Saturday. The entire planning process went smoothly from the start. Questions were answered very quickly and in detail and the service/kitchen staff did a great job on the wedding day! As a wedding planner, it is particularly important for me to have reliable and competent service providers at my side. Laufen Castle absolutely lived up to this requirement! I can only recommend it to everyone and hope to be able to work with this great team again soon :
Very bad service. You are not picked up at the entrance as there is a sign there, but the waitress just looks at you askance. After 10 minutes we chose the place independently. Service only brings 2 tickets for 5 people. Staff seem like they don't want to work. As a result you are not served even though the restaurant was empty. Then after 5 minutes we got up and left without being served. Absolutely not recommended for this price/performance ratio.
wonderful! a castle with a view of the Rhine Falls. it was well preserved and well maintained. a part of it has been converted into a restaurant or a private venue, not so sure, but there was one event last time. there is also a museum with a fee, as well as access to the close of the Rhine falls switzerland grand tour photo frames. it was a walk on the hills up to the walk closed, but the effort worth it.

very nice place in the castle, nice eating and desserts with ice. but terrible service, 15 minutes wait until the menu was brought, then wait 15 minutes until they got up and order, and in the same way with payment. stuff doesn't want to see you at all.
It was simply the best food and service in a long time. And this red cabbage is simply divine.
Super fine fondue Chinoise à discretion in good quality including water and ice tea!
an unforgettable experience with fine eating in a great environment.
