Castle John's Pub and Restaurant

While driving on the autobahn 2, I have often noticed this establishment and wondered what it was - a hotel, a restaurant, or a bar. Upon asking the waitress, she informed me that it is all three and more! Although parking may seem limited, there is acceptable parking along highway 2. The beer menu is decent, but I do wish they had more craft beer options, as is the case with many places. The food was tasty and they had multiple TVs showing various sports games. The portions are generous and I highly recommend trying the burger and the delicious gitterfries. Just a tip - they provide a WiFi password as cell phone reception inside is poor.

Decor is a little on the dark side. Sports bar with a TV in ever direction you look. Typical Sports bar. Fortunately we were among the first customers of the day, so the music was low, lights were on and we could have a nice chat since it has been months that we had seen each other.Service was friendly and food was good
