Castleton Tea Rooms

The food and service was so bad it was comical. After over min wait for our food x mushrooms on toast, one jacket potato, one soup and a cheese on toast) we stared in disbelief. The mushroom toast was one or two button...mushrooms, pretty shriveled looking next to slices of dry budget bread. Gobsmackingly unappetizing. The tomato soup was small and tasted of Heinz tinned. The cheese on toast was made with ‘plastic’ orange cheese and the potato microwaved. The owner explained that they couldn’t cook more than things at a time. Shame they didn’t tell us when we phoned to check they had a table for six. Poor waitress just looked embarrassed. Wouldn’t touch this place with a barge pole.

We found the tea rooms by chance as we were cycling through the village we stopped off for a well deserved break and bite to eat and couldn’t be happier with the food snd the service. A lovely young lady took our order and she...was very polite and welcoming she asked us during our visit if everything was ok with our meals and if we wanted anything else towards the end of our visit. The tea rooms are well worth a visit especially for their family atmosphere and beautiful views out the back (sit outside of it’s a nice day and relax whilst enjoying the views of the fields and sheep) We will definitely pay a visit again soon thanks to all

Went for a family day out with my husband and sister had a lovely visit at the old chapel tearooms.The friendly staff made us feel welcome from the start great improvement since we last visited! Food was excellent as always!Definitely recommend it.Also definitely love the...South African accents.See you guys soon! xx

Top-Café super stop as we rode into the moors. hearty eating and accommodating staff. rooms for bikes around the back and super views over the valley.

Eating is great and good. the staff is very helpful and accommodating. groups are good for and afternoon tee is exceptional.
