We had dinner here with family on the final night of our visit to Queensland. Two had steaks, one the burger and one the salmon. All of us loved our meals, steaks cooked to perfection, burger was not 'just a burger' and the salmon melted in your mouth. Drinks orders taken and delivered speedily, water on the table - service throughout the night was great. None of us could fit in dessert which was disappointing as the selection looked delicious. There is a wide selection of food to choose from, most of which is/has a gluten free option. There are both hearty, heavier dishes to choose from as well as light, healthy dishes. I opted for sautéed mushrooms and tofu, and the gluten free version of the mocha cheesecake (?). Both were absolutely delicious!The restaurant was very busy, about 7:30pm on a Sunday, but the staff were attentive and helpful. I ate here before heading to the airport for a late night flight. Novotel is a little out of the way, so I wouldn't expect or suggest dining at this restaurant unless staying at the hotel or on the way to the airport.
Staff friendly and great with service. Prices a bit overpriced; think this may have something to do with the location as not a lot of easy to get to options at the airport. Parking free for restaurant guests but not the Novotel's staying guests; ridiculous. Food is lovely. One of the best baked cheese cakes I've ever had.Also had breakfast here and also nice and fairer priced as options to have the full buffet breakfast or just the continental or hot food etc for a lesser price which was great as I don't eat cereals.
I had drinks and dinner there before a friend flew out and the menu and food was fantastic. I was extremely impressed with the gluten free options and after some questioning I was completely satisfied that this is a safe place for anyone with Coeliac disease to eat. The service was timed perfectly and staff were very friendly and accomodating. I will certainly be back and highly recommend this restaurant for anyone living in Brisbane or in transit through Brisbane.

We had lunch and dinner here.The hamburger was an absolute knockout. Super tasty with excellent "fries" on the side - they were actually like shards of potato, very crispy, very yum! A very satisfying meal. The Thai Style Beef salad was a small serve and not a very satisfying salad.The surroundings are cafeteria bland. More a functional space than somewhere that entices you to linger. Staff were professional and friendly.
Omg so dissatisfied.... My sister and I had a lovely dinner at Catalinas Bar n Restaurant Novotel Brisbane. We spent Over $170. Between the two of us... No sooner finished our dinner..... not the wine and we were asked to leave...... as you apparently cannot stay any longer than 1 hour after dinner. Never in my life has this happened before. We should have been told this when ordering our meal. Dissatisfied.....
To be honest, it's a hotel restaurant, that for me is not normally a good start. It was quiet which is not normally a good look. The rows of tomato and barbecue sauce bottles also was a worry. But the food was great. I had a ribeye on the bone steak, with peppercorn sauce. It was excellent, great flavour and a great size as well. Would def eat there again.
A friend treated me to a celebration dinner at the Catalina Restaurant for my birthday. I was quite impressed with the evening. The staff were welcoming and courteous and the surroundings were pleasant. Our chosen meals were cooked to perfection, and very tasty. Desserts were delectable! Look forward to dining there again when possible.

This restaurant gave us the best service I've had in an Australian restaurant for a long time, Holly, you were extra pleasant and very welcoming you must be a very valued employee. The lady chief I spoke to about poached eggs, you were right! Two minutes longer and I've nailed them, thank you all so much for 5 very enjoyable meals
Have dined here before and the standard has not changed. The service was good and menu selection ideal. A good selection of wines available as well. We were both very happy with our meals which were delivered in promptly and were delicious.
