Cato's Ale House

Nice little neighborhood bar. Food was decent. Fried chicken sandwich was good. Pozole was a bit watery and light on flavor. Main issues were the lack of seats at the bar which leads to people just standing at/around the bar so those sitting can't really see the TV's. Also took about 25 minutes to get a slice of pizza. Drinks are very competitively priced for Oakland so that's a plus. Overall I liked it just some annoyances.

I felt for a burger and stumbled over catos. I'm so happy that I did it when they weren't disappointed. they were generous with their portions. at the arrival I saw that they offered me a cooking specialist who asked me to order the posole. yum yum! next time in the piemont, you will see catos! You'll be happy you did it.

cato is set from its covid to its regular installation. the first time to experience the restaurant and the staff is very friendly. casual atmosphere and beautiful sun terrace to eat. fish and chips ordered. it came hot and crispy. I had bigger fish shares elsewhere, but they weren't bad!

Fantastic selection of beers. The Bar Tender was very polite. The food and atmosphere was great.

low key-cookness. large selection of craft beer. the special ahi burger was great. I'm back!
