we were in swanage for the last jazz festival and booked for Friday night. the cauldron is quirky but very welcoming. margaret and terry spend about three days getting their raw materials and although on the expensive side, their careful preparation really shows. we had the whole Dover-sole with hand cutting chips. it is the best fish I have ever eaten! terry brought one on a teller to show us before he cooked it and it was divine. they get the table for the evening, so if they have the time (we don't,) they could eat a whole evening on freshly prepared, as ordered, excellent food. when we visit again, we will make sure we book a table. well done to both owners. that's not almost food, neith...
