*Meatball sauce in the Eggplant The last 2 times I’ve gone in have been horrible. Today for lunch the 3 of us ordered our food, the young deli clerk forgot about our food for 25 minutes, apologized handed 2 out of 3 of us our food while asking if the food less person wanted to place an order. We explained that the food was all ordered at the same time, she claimed she forgot, said she had a “Brain fart” *The main complaint is I don’t eat meat can’t tolerate any meat sauce, I asked for an eggplant w/ marinara sauce…. No meat!!! I was hunched over immediately w/ stomach pains and when I asked I was told they take the meatball sauce throw it on the eggplant! Lastly, I didn’t complain but pulle...
I always went to this wonderful Deli. I worked two doors down and lived diagonally across the street. As for the food I buy their imported pastas and their grinders. Especially roast beef with fried peppers on them which are absolutely amazing. They have great people skills are always Pleasant and ready to serve me with a smile every time I go there. I can't wait to go there for lunch this weekend. If you want a great lunch or sandwich this is the place to go. You won't regret it.
Sandwiches were okay. Not good, not bad, just okay. What’ll keep me from ever coming back are the prices. Over $12 and change for a sandwich on a grinder? Those are NY prices and this is nowhere near as good as a NY sandwich. They serve $8-$9 sandwiches at best. Workers were very friendly but no need to ever return. You’ll be better off hitting up one of the many bodegas in the neighborhood for a sandwich.
This one girl who works in the back. Her name is Cayla. Absolutely rude for absolutely no reason. I love the place and the food. Just needs more generous help cause a girl with an attitude like that should not be working in such a great place. I was a regular customer and I brought that place a lot of business thanks to Cayla those days are now behind me. Good luck.

Easily the best Italian combo my family and I have ever had. I've been coming here for over 20 years, I have NEVER had a negative experience EVER. The prices are extremely affordable, the owner and her family are absolutely phenomenal. The girls that work there are super helpful and nice.

Home away from home. Cavallos Deli is a nostalgic place like what I had in New York. Fresh meat, cheeses, pastries like what Nonna used to get. Even the cannoli is perfect. Get the Don Vito, best sandwich ever!
Italian combo sandwich bursting with flavor. A little on the wet side with sauces but decent all around. Price was sensible, plenty for sharing between two people
