Cave Street Fisheries

To say this is the worst fish and chips I've ever had sums things up!! Been here lots of times and always really nice but tonight it was totally inedible...The chips although there was plenty were just scraps and the fish had never met a...haddock never mind disguising itself as one...the only nice thing was the pattie! Won't be going back in usually don't mind the fact it's a bit more expensive than other nearby fisheries but this was just awful absolutely gutted!

this place is legendary and they can see why. I will be honest, his since a few years since I last visited, but young I can remember why I loved it so much when I lived close. we ordered medium fish and chips twice., it was huge. as enough for us, the fish was a fair old size and tasty, white and tasty with a lush crispy dough. the chips were plentiful and well cooked as I like them. faster and faster service with a smile. great place to go.

We went for fish and chips tonight for ourselves and three grandkids. The food was beautiful and more than enough to feed us all. The fish was big and tasty, the batter was golden and crispy. The portion of chips Is always more than enough...for me and one of my grandkids to share. We also got pattie and chips, a sausage and chips, mushy peas and gravy. All the food was well cooked and tasty. Will definitely return.

cave street chippy is a bit hull legend! easy to see why. service with a smile. great quality freshly cooked fish and chips and the choice of haddock, cod, skate and plaice tho not all precooked and ready to go. all very reasonable...price not sure we were previous reviews.

used to get the best chip store in hull, now I would say it is the worst. how they can get their chips into the condition they do is beyond me. Brown, over boiled, greasy, muddy and tasteless. are beautiful. that's something I appreciate for a...£12 meal.

best pattie I had in years as I remembered patties as she used to the fish was amazing big crispy flocks of white fish in a beautiful crispy teig and chips were very good to first visit in this chippy but will. definitiw return

Forget Pappas and Funkyfish this is the best Fish&Chip shop by a Country Mile. The fish is tender and tasty whilst the chips are first class.

Nicely cooked fresh food and lives up to expectations. I got a large fish and chips the fish was massive.
