This is a place to go if you love this kitchen , if you want to enjoy true hospitality and - sometimes life events!The menue offers all the oriental dishes, sea food is delicius , veg so fresh and... simply great!Why spending so much money in Basle for the same kitchen, if you get it better and in a wonderful atmoshere- across the border? The rate of exchange, as another member remarked- is adapted correctly! If you pay cash! If you pay by card- it's the bank....We had a grat evening! Thank you for the food prepared and served with love.
We stopped for the night at the hotel across the street and saw this place . Well it was a great treasure find , our host who was a young chap called Ali and a young lady whom I didn't get her name made us feel right at home with their charm and service not to mention the great food .The meat just melted in your mouth and the baby aubergine stuffed with walnut was divine along with all the other dishes .In short a great little place .
From the outside, the place is not very appealing; it looks a bit run down and not very inviting. Inside it is ok, but again nothing special. The starters were a winner; great little plates to share, but the mains were a bit dissapointing. Still good, but nothing special.Next time (yes we will go again) we will just stick to sharing starters. These are also priced ver well, so it will make for a cheap but nice meal.
This restaurant is a gem.It might actually be my favorite restaurant ever!The food tastes delicious. Every single dish I ever tasted was lavish and tasted amazing.The staff is friendly. The prices are quite low.I make sure to go eat at Cedars at least once every time I come visit my friends in Germany. Do not go to Lorrach without eating at Cedars!

The Food is well prepared and has typical tastes of the middle east. We had a combo platter with a variety of starters that where very good. The eggplant as mail dish was also tasty. The lam was a bit undercooked unfortunately. Nevertheless worthwhile to go here in a town where most restaurants are Italian.
I liked the small, family feel of Cedar's. It got very busy and full while we were there, so I recommend a reservation for a weekend evening. The menu had many options and our food was delicious. We even got hummus and a lovely little dessert given to us in addition to our meal. I will definitely return.
I was on my own and was very well looked after by a very attentive and dynamic team. The food was full of eastern flavours , the range is wide enough to make it easy to find a dish to suit your purse or your mood!A very special thank you to every one who made me feel at home when I was tired and lonely!
Great experience to try. Excellent food and drinks. Great value for the price. Super service. Recommended go groups or individuals.
