We were in St Ives for five nights and we visited this restaurant twice. Had it been open additional nights we would have returned for another meal. Two menu items of particular note are the goat cheese and beetroot appetizer which was a perfect start to our meal. For the main course we both had the parmesan crusted hake. It was so spectacular that we had this main course both times we were at the restaurant. Service was wonderful and extremely friendly. I’d give the restaurant top marks for both service and food quality. The chef is a professional. Our only complaint is that the restaurant is only open from Wednesday to Sunday. That’s not enough time to allow people to enjoy this place.
We had a wonderful family meal at the Cellar Bistro. Great atmosphere and brilliant service. All the food was of high quality and the wine was amazing. The photos show the pear and cheese starter which was a taste sensation and the hake is incredible too. My partner enjoyed the steak which was cooked to perfection. Quality produce which is well presented and well priced. The only feedback I would suggest is for the children’s menu to have a side dish with the meal as my son ordered chicken strips and chips but there was no veg offered but that is just a suggestion as again the food and service was brilliant. Would highly recommend the Cellar Bistro.
Absolutely fantastic food and service! I had hake and my mum had the chicken. I’ve dined in some 5* restaurants around the world but never tasted anything like this. We had messed up our booking and accidentally selected the wrong date on the online booking system, although they were fully booked for the whole evening they had no hesitation in fitting us in! We have booked to go again before we go home
We had dined in this restaurant many times over the years in its different guises and owners over the years. We tried it under it's current ownership and found it to be nothing short of excellent. The staff were friendly and informed about the food and wines, the food was superb along with the atmosphere. We were so pleased we have booked to go back in a few days. My compliments to the owners.

We went here on recommendation from friends and we were not disappointed! The food was great. We both had fish. Very well cooked and well presented. Service was excellent. When we asked about the menu, the lady knew what she was talking about that made it such a pleasurable experience. Well done you guys. We will recommend you to others
Excellent food in this cellar bistro you might miss when passing. Early evening three course fixed price menu with good choices. Great value. Friendly and efficient staff. All round good place! Booking advisable!
The Cellar Bistro is a great restaurant serving great food. We had the pan fried sea bass fillets. They were cooked to perfection. The service was excellent and the whole experience was first class.
This restaurant came recommended to us and we were not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious. Service was great and staff were very friendly. I recommend booking in advance.

Saturday 2nd September we went to the Cellar Bistro for our evening meal, took a bit of finding, walked past it twice! Serious grub in this place, the steaks were fab!
Wonderful food, great atmosphere and super friendly staff. Highly recommend having a meal here during your trip. Best meal of my trip.
