Large terrace that is one of the places to sit and people watch - and there is certainly plenty to watch in this wealthy town .The inside has the feel of a cafe and even in the cold weather the heated terrace is the place to be.The place is in two parts. It used to be a nice place but when you come with a big family just for a cup of hot chocolate and cream, they try to convince you that on the terrace they just serve a pot of hot chocolate for logistical reasons and that for the cup you need to go inside. This is absolute nonsense and not mentioned on the menu. It represents more than double the price.Moreover they do not allow you to share anything and you feel a sort of criminal when you take a bite if your son's cake. The restrooms were not well cleaned and this is in contradiction to their so-called luxury environment. We always go to Fitz when we are in Timmendorfer Strand. Since our first visit about 6 years ago we found Fitz and the quality of food is still the same. When we "land" in T.S. we always look forward to our first meal in Fitz and as the quality is so good, this is our food-stop every time. The staff are all nice, you always get a welcome back smile from them. We look forward to our next visit - great ourdoor restaurant, so good to just sit and see the world go by.
The stuff is 7*. I did not know what fish to choose, and they offered me help, choosed fish and was amazing. Really, in my opinion is difficult to eat good fish in that area. Everything is "paniert" in deep oil, so to taste the pure fish - impossible. But here fish was really good. Also they have a good espresso. So If You are in Timmerdorf strand - best place

This cafe restaurant is perfect place to spend an afternoon waching people, having something small to eat and taste good wines. You can enjoy soupes, salades, sandwiches...The service is excellent. The large terrace is well heated, so you can enjoy your meal or drink outside, even if the weather is a bit colder.
This place is located right on the square in the cozy little town and a lot of buzz is going on which makes it interesting to sit outside and watch the people. Friendly staff but serving can be a little slow sometimes. We had the US breakfast which was okay nothing extraordinary about that.
We had dinner in Café Fitz on a warm September evening. Very good German cuisine (Kraftbrot Krabben and Flammkuchen) served quickly by a friendly staff. Fair prices.
Cannot beat it for any type of meal, as long as you do not want fine dining. It is a casual place with a strong emphasis of coffe and cake.

Great spot to watch the world go by....good food, hot and cold drinks (hot Hugo!!) ...an enjoyable experience. Highly recommendable.
