It seems we chose a quiet night to dine there, being midweek, but the restaurant still had a nice atmosphere. Menu choice was ample and the food was very enjoyable seafood linguine and chicken saltimbocca as our main courses. But what made the evening most enjoyable was Joanne, the waitress who was absolutely charming and could not do enough to please us despite her serving every single table in the restaurant that evening. What a delight she is, and hopefully a much treasured and appreciated member of Carluccio’s Chester team.
When we arrived, the waitress could not find our booking you need to raise your game Fork). The place was very quiet, so there was no problem finding a table. Service was excellent and so was the food and drink. However, the place became really full and the few staff on duty were totally overloaded. We felt really sorry for them. Would definitely go back.
We dined at this restaurant 5 years ago for a pre-half marathon meal were keen to return but so disappointed. Food was nice although small portions for the price. The staff barely acknowledged us were unwelcoming not friendly at all. Won’t return sadly.
I ordered aranchini. Having had them before I expected a proper sized portion. They were half the size of a golf ball for £7.95. Very poor value. In addition the donut deserts were minuscule too. Overall it was a very expensive lunch .

Given the current high prices for dining out, one would expect the quality to be exceptional. Unfortunately, this meal was just average. While the service was good, the food left much to be desired.
The atmosphere at this restaurant was really good, and the young lady who served us was friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely brilliant and we would recommend it to anyone. Thanks, guys!
Simply put. The best burger I have ever had. Highly recommend Carluccios burger and the chicken main course was also outstanding. Superb service too. Thank you
