Better than good but not quite great: I ordered the Carne Asada nachos and a Corona. The flavors in the nachos were quite good. I appreciated that they used fresh, unpickled jalapeños, which are my favorite. They added a nice touch of freshness to the overall dish. However, like many places, after I got through the initial layer of nachos (about 8-10 bites), I was left with just chips. The service was excellent, and our server Erin was very friendly, engaging in conversation when you wanted but also knowing when to give you space. The Cantina has a nice view of Ybor Centro, which adds a fun element to the dining experience.
My friend experienced racial profiling at this establishment. The bartender claimed she didn't resemble her ID, even though she provided additional proof of her information. The staff was uncooperative and instead called the authorities. We weren't causing any trouble; it seemed like it was just because the bartender didn't approve of my friend’s appearance. If you're looking to avoid issues, I'd recommend staying away from this place. The third-party security was helpful, but the staff was unmanageable. It was frustrating that they refused to provide a company contact number or the name of a manager!
Bartender was excellent, food was okay. Chips are harder, for example, and do not taste fresh. Guacamole was pretty good. Service made the experience on this. The receipt came out without details and lace has already been added. It also says that 18 percent is added automatically in the menu. I don't care about this practice as long as it's obvious. Instead, I tipped almost 40 percent, which is not cool. Luckily, the bartender deserved it.

This is the ideal spot for lunch. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, making it a great place to unwind. With a fantastic view of 7th Street, it's especially enjoyable on nice days. I loved the tacos and quesadillas—they were delicious!
Looks nice enough from the outside but tables were dirty and after a trip to the restroom we left immediately. Dead cockroaches on the floor, blood down the outside of the toilet, they hadn’t been cleaned for days, completely filthy.
