Don't hesitate to seek out this great place to eat when you are in Falmouth. There is a lunch menu for the bar area and outside and a more formal menu for the dining area upstairs. The staff are very welcoming and friendly it is this approach from one of the team who was wiping down outside seats after a shower of rain that encouraged us to pick the pub for lunch today. 5 stars for food, friendliness, location and sheer choice of options.

we dinate in falmouth very regularly and often at the chainlocker. wonderful staff, fantastic ales and weine with amazing food and choice. tonight the mush with pommes and brot were the best I had in falmouth and the fish cake was pointed notch. thank you and we will see you soon.

large pub with several real ales and a good menu (sensitively limited) good eating very well cooked. I heard that the cook changed so that the new one is so good! we ate there twice in a week. my partner said the smarter was the best he ever had and this is a real compliment!

Great central location near the sea. We stopped there twice, once for a quick drink, and again for breakfast. Both times the staff were really friendly and wanted to talk. The breakfast was really good.

great place to stay, great eating and friendly staff. well recommended if you stay here there are parking places, but also so easy to find from street parking free.
